What Ajo is

Ajo is a record and coordination tool for private wealth teams. Members fund a shared goal or run a rotational contribution circle. Ajo is not a bank, not a lender, and not an insurer. Money moves by transfer to the team account or the platform escrow account. Ajo does not auto-debit you and does not automatically pay a collector.

Your account

You must give a real name, a working email or phone number, and keep your login private. One person, one account. You are responsible for invites you send and for posts you make.

Teams and projects

A team admin approves members and can appoint other admins. Project pages and team feeds are visible to active members. A goal project has a locked vault: it can receive confirmed contributions, and money leaves only when the creator requests release and every confirmed donor approves, or the project is terminated the same way.

A rotational project has one draw. The draw includes active team members at that moment. Each person gets a slot and a date. Swaps are open for 24 hours and need both people to accept. After that the order locks. Admins cannot quietly redraw. A verification code is stored with the draw.

Payments and fees

You pay the account shown on the project, then upload proof. An admin or the project creator confirms or rejects it. A confirmed contribution is added to the vault balance. False proof, or confirming money you did not receive, is a breach.

The platform fee is 5% unless your settings screen shows a different rate. It is calculated when a vault release is approved, not when a member pays in. Rotational slot order is a record of whose turn it is. Paying the person whose turn it is remains the circle’s responsibility.

What we do not promise

We do not guarantee that members will pay, that a team admin will confirm honestly, or that a goal will be reached. Disputes inside a team should be settled by that team first. We may suspend an account that uploads fake receipts, harasses members, or tries to unlock a vault outside the vote.

Ending use

You may stop using Ajo at any time. Leaving a team does not undo a confirmed contribution or a locked draw. We may close the service with notice, and will not open a locked vault except through the donor vote already on the project.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
